Children/Youth 

Instrumentation is tailored to each age group. Instruments may include small hand percussion, sticks, shakers, table bells, shape drums, etc...

Adults/seniors

In comparison, services that tailor to an adult population utilize different instrumentation: drums, guitars, piano, hand percussion, etc...

Accompaniment

Many interventions include accompaniment instruments including guitar, piano, autoharp, omnichord, drums, and voice.

GreetinG

  • "Hello" song or other greeting intervention

Sensory Integration

  • Drumming, body percussion, movement, etc...

Speech Goal

  • May include vocabulary, pronunciation, conversations, initiation, articulation, etc...

Physical motor Goal

  • May include range of motion, balance, gait, finger dexterity, finger isolation, pincer grasp, strength, etc...

Cognition Goal

  • May include problem solving, organization, memory recall, attention, task completion, etc...

Sensory Integration

  • Drumming, body percussion, movement, etc...

Farewell

  • "Goodbye" song or other farewell including relaxation

*Note that ALL session plans are different and tailored to each individual and group.  Some sessions may include one intervention including songwriting or lyric analysis.  Other sessions may include music and art while others may focus on emotional expression and processing a recent traumatic event.

Each intervention is designed to target a specific treatment goal.
